An Eagle When She Flies

Today is the International Women Day, so I share this old song with all the women who visit this blog (and the men too).

And please share which other music you have come across that celebrate the power and resilience of women

  1. How nice of you to remember the day.

Several songs that immediately spring to mind about the power and resilience of women
"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor
    "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" by Aretha Franklin
    "I'm a Survivor" by Destiny's Child
and an oldie "I am Woman" by Helen Reddie.

I happen to like the song you selected and the artist :-) Hope you are well.

    1. Joyful, I have never heard the last song or artist you mention but I liked I will survive and RESPECT...was not really a fun of I am a Survivor - I guess it is age. I am well and I hope you are keeping well too..

    2. After leaving my comment, I went looking for some of the songs on youtube.

Here is the youtube link to Helen Reddie's song which apparently the UN selected as the song for International Women's Year back in 1975. I just learned that ;-)
